La Casa de Liza

Oct 8, 2008

I have stayed at Casa Liza twice, Feb 07 and Feb 08. I have traveled all over the world, and never encounter a staff so kind, caring and eager to serve. Lorenzo and Idalia do an outstanding job! As a tour operator, specializing in small groups, I look for unique, upmarket proerties with good food. Casa Liza definitely fits the... more

Everything from the location, the structure and design of the center, to the food , the amenities and the kindness of the staff were in keeping with the peace and tranquility you would expect from a retreat center. This young couple have blended the older buildings of the homestead into wonderful harmony with the newer adobe cabanas. The simple but... more

Las Terrazas San Miguel

I spent a delightful week in San Miguel. Hosts Murray and Greg made sure I saw the lovely sights in town, arranged a trip to nearby Guanajuato to see the birthday place of Diego Rivera and also took me to the studio of Estaban Valdera a local potter who work is in the Smithsonian. The casa was extremely comfortable and... more

Casa Misha

What makes Casa Misha exceptional is the phenomenal level of hospitality and the dedication of owners/hosts Ed and Richard. They are able to anticipate their guests every need, from recommending a terrific local restaurant to arranging a relaxing massage on a private patio overlooking the lights of beautiful San Miguel de Allende. Because of their knowledge of the city and... more

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel Posada Carmina for a four-day trip to San Miguel de Allende. We found the hotel interior/decor lovely and charming, very 'San Miguel' and reasonably priced. Although the decor was attractive and complimentary breakfast very nice, it didn't quite make up for some other deficiencies in service and ammenities. The hotel is 'conveniently'... more

I read about Casa de Liza in Suset Magazine - and the editors did not exaggerate how wonderful this bed and breakfast is. The bathroom amenities (such as towels, shampoo, conditioner and lotion) were top rate; housekeeping was incredibly attentive and diligent, and the breakfasts were huge and fabulous (even though I designated small portions, it was always enough for... more

Casita de las Flores

Oct 5, 2008

The flower filled courtyard and comfortable spacious rooms are the highlights. Shared facilities are convenient, and really not a hindrance. The biggest problem was the organisational aspect. All sorts of stipulations were made at booking with regard to transfer of payment and timing of arrival - the latter being hard to be certain of when one is travelling in a... more

Casa Cuesta was more than i could have ever imagined. this was my first of many trips to San Miguel. My mom and I took the red-eye flight and arrived at Casa Cuesta exhausted and excited. after driving through gorgeous narrow cobblestone streets we ascended up above the town plaza to Casa Cuesta. Bill opened the door and as we... more

We recently stayed at Casa Anita for the San Miguel de Allende portion of our Mexico trip. From the beginning, we were impressed with Casa Anita and the proprietors, Maru and Antonio. The building itself is gorgeous, with a lovely interior courtyard and spacious clean rooms that have all been decorated to fit the feel of San Miguel. Much of... more

We just returned from six nights at Casa Luna Quebrada and loved every minute. Our room, Tree Tops, was large, quiet and well appointed with a wonderful balcony overlooking the lovely pool and patio. The staff is very attentive, especially Lalo and Ernesto, and knows everything about the town you need to know. The food could not be better and... more

If the Ritz Carlton had a Bed and Breakfast, it might compare to Casa Don Pascual in San Miguel de Allende. My hats off to the owners and operators, Herbert and Pascal. They are naturals at running this charming villa over looking the city. They and their staff went above and beyond our expectations playing hosts, concierges, chefs, entertainers and... more

I've stayed in the nearby apartment, Sollana B ( two minute walk away) for three weeks, and thoroughly loved the experience. It was great having a a kitchen to make little snacks. Tres Casitas is a perfect place to stay when visiting San Miguel. I spent 8 days there with my sister in February, and I loved every moment of my visit. Centrally located, it's a short walk to the Jardin and Parroquia along an ancient cobblestone street. The courtyard at Tres Casitas is lush and quiet and let's you know you've... more

My girlfriend and I where spending the weekend in San Miguel de Allende so we ended up choosing this Hotel after reading reviews and looking over their website. Tres Casitas is in an ideal location, just two blocks from the town square. It fronts on a quiet and lovely street, but most of all I loved the bright colors of the casita's furniture and furnishings. I stayed two weeks at the casita by myself and was most comfortable with the kitchen, living room, desk and bedroom loft. The... more

I have stayed at Tres Casitas a number of times, and each time was an experience. I have been lucky enough to stay in all three of the apartments, and each one offers a delightful assortment of Mexican handicrafts, as well as original works of art by the very talented owner.
