This was the second stop for our honeymoon. Our travel agent booked us this hotel because its close to the falls and the airport; and also because its 'fancy'. First off, its completely away from the city center so forget walking to a restaurant; we ate the (expensive) buffet both nights. The food was ok. The grounds are beautiful but... more

Hotel Taroba

The room was nice and light and clean and although there was no nice view and the air con was a bit noisy we enjoyed our stay here. the staff were friendly and the food was really nice, we had breakfast and dinner here and it was really good. It was really good value for money. We would stay here... more

we stayed for 3 nigths in a very small room. i think they have repaired most rooms and refurbished most, but not the one they put us in...it was tiny and with old furniture...although i asked for a different room as soon we arrived, we got no answer at all. we didnt have enough space to change clothes without thouching... more

My family and I stayed here for four nights sharing 2 connecting rooms (1 with a king-size bed and 1 with 2 double beds). Check-in was seamless with the English-speaking front desk staff able to process everything in under 5 minutes. We received a free welcome drink for each adult, which was a nice gesture. We were given rooms 1311... more

Althogh this is a modern hotel with interesting architecture it is located well away from everything and taxi rides add up fast. We wanted to have a late check out so we could visit the Falls on a transit day but they would not acomidate us. As well we had wet clothes after visiting the Brasilian side of the falls... more

Well..... Lets start with the good things. We were happy with the location and the breakfast was OK-ish.... The rooms are tiny and in desperate need of modernization. The closets are a joke and you hear very well what the neighbours are saying or doing and whenever someone closes a door the whole floor can hear it. The elevator is... more

Charm Iguassu Suites

Jul 30, 2008

We called charm hostel whilst in Rio and the owner could not have been anymore helpful. When we arrived in Foz we were greated by the owner who showed us to our room (it was more like our own villa)!! The room was big with it's own bathroom (which was spotless) fridge and cable tv. Just outside our room was... more

I´ve got to say the reviews surprised me a little cause I haven´t noticed most of the problems people pointed out. Quite the contrary, actually. The room was clean and spacious, with excellent furniture. It was not luxurious, but confortable and functional, exactly what I was expecting for the price iwas willing to pay. Really loved the breakfast. Also the... more

Online, this hotel is listed as a 4 and sometimes a 5 star hotel. By American standards, it's not as good as a Sheraton, Marriot, or Hilton, which are 4 star hotels here. The rooms are a good size, but the lighting is dim, there are no washcloths or rags available, so you will need to bring your own washcloth,... more

Hotel Baviera Iguassu

Jul 24, 2008

My 15 year old son and I stayed at Baviera Iguassu while we visited the Brazilian side of the waterfalls, the Itaipu Dam and Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. The hotel is located a five-minute walk from Foz de Iguacu's main street, Av. Brasil, where a bank, many shops, restaurants and an internet cafe are located. There also are several decent... more

Jul 17, 2008

We stayed at Falls Galli for three days and everything was ok, except for the restaurant area that in the photos on the web seemed pretty good but during our stay it was closed for refurbishing. The rooms are big, the queen size beds confortable, the air conditioner with both options, heat and cold, was ok. The lobby is better... more

Really nice staff and gastronomy! The accomodations are great, with air conditioning, but the best thing in Bella Italia Hotel is the breakfast and the dinner with Italian food. Foz do Iguaçu is a pretty amazing place to stay, but I´m sure the hotel helped my trip to become even more amazing. more

Once in south Brazil no one should miss visiting Foz do Iguaçu and its Cataratas (Falls). Located between Brazilian and Argentinean border, the falls are an impressive misture of views, noise, energy and beautifulness and the rainbows are just a detailed that can be seen everywhere. Not only the falls but also the big park that surround it in both... more

This hotel and our experience at Iguazcu was a highlight of our ten day trip! We were initally staying at a hotel outside of the park but our travel agent called everyday for weeks until we got in this hotel. Our family of five stayed in the presidential suite. (FOUR BALCONYS!!) Everyone couldn't have been nicer. The food was amazing.... more

I really liked this place. Even though birds are caged, the cages seem big and not very cramped (but of course they are still cages). But if you have no problems visiting zoos, you shall love the Bird Park. It gives a great opportunity to see some amazingly exotic birds from very close. In fact, some birds will even come... more

Had a great time at this hostel paradise. Dorm accommodation was only $10/night. The swimming pool was very relaxing and refreshing. The place is owned by Americans and feels very homey and down-to-earth. Especially memorable was the garden. Highly recommended. more

Good decent budget hotel. Its located right across from the Municipal Guarde (Police Station) and so I am told is very safe. They serve a good breakfast (scrambled eggs, hot sausages, bread with meats, various fruits, juices etc). The rooms themselves were clean. The bathroom had an interesting quirk-- there was no hot water in the sinks and in the... more

This hotel was really awful. We were booked there by a friend to stay 2 nights. We had to stay the first night, but actually moved to another hotel the 2nd nite.
