Monte Alban ruins are quite impressive! The view is outstanding and delightfully breathtaking (especially after climbing the stairs!) I can certainly see why they picked this location in 500BC as you couldn't get any closer to the gods! We took one of the tours to Monte Alban. It is a good way to hear the history. However, don't take the tour bus back. It is easy to take one of the collectivo taxis back. The tours do not allow enough time at Monte Alban. There are many trails at Monte Alban with alot of flowers and birds. One... more
