I love love LOVE going to the Devonian gardens! Admission is a donation, there are multiple different themed areas, child's play area, fish and turtles in water pools. Local artist are featured, and you can even rent areas of the gardens for events! How fairytale would a wedding be there! Especially fantastic in winter when the windows are covered in... more

On the top floor of a shopping centre, on Stephen Avenue, are the Devonian Gardens, which is a very good place to relax. I guess several people working in downtown Calgary go there for their one-hour lunch in midday, since the place is so calm and beautiful. I was in Calgary recently, to sightsee, and we came in the middle of a spring storm. 5 inches of snow made the weather outside quite cool! As we toured downtown, someone recommended we stop and see the Devonian Gardens! They atmosphere in there was so refreshing. The gardens are beautiful, and offer quite a view of outside as well... more
