It’s a nice cathedral but I did expect something more grandeur as it is much spoken of. You do have to pay to visit the cathedral which was a bit odd as it is a church. There is a small gift shop inside that could use some friendlier staff. The park off to the side is very pretty and good... more
It really is an amazing piece of work - as so many cathedrals are. I can't really give a good description, but go and see for yourself. Lots of monuments to various personages (Jonathan Swift the most famous) and some military units. And take note of the stained glass windows. more
I loved St. Patrick's Cathedral. It was my favorite attraction in Dublin. The grounds are well kept and clean and you can roam through the church at your own leisure. It costs about 8 Euros to get in but I think it's worth it. You can also take pictures inside which you can't do at most cathedrals. They give you... more
I've been on three tours to Ireland and have seen St. Patrick's Cathedral EVERY time. It is such a historical and awe inspiring church.
