This really is a fantastic area, which is easily reached by foot from the top of Hämeenkatu, the main street. Just go past Aleksanterin Kirkko and to your north west direction and you will find it. Along the way, you may pass through Pispala, which has beautiful wooden cottages. They were traditionally houses for the workers in the city back... more

Pyynikki ridge is regarded as the highest gravel ridge in the world. Pyynikki observation tower (built in 1929) itself is a classic among tourists and locals as well.
