My husband and I visited wine country outside of Cape Town, South Africa recently on vacation and had a wonderful experience booking with the Wine Desk Waterfront. The Wine Desk staff recommended wonderful accomodations and arranged for everything - all we did was just show up! The best part of the excursion by far was our personal wine tasting guide... more

Ligia and her team are outstanding..... We only had 5 days in Cape Town at the start of our honeymoon... I send dozens of e-mails to Ligia - asking questions, she replied to them all promptly and gave me some fantastic advice... We booked a private tour to Cape Point and a Winelands full day tour through Ligia - both... more

With only one and a half days in Capetown, every minute counts. So I arranged a private wine tasting and sightseeing tour through Ligia Coito, at Wine Desk. Ligia also recommended and booked a hotel and arranged airport transfers. All of her arrangements were excellent, including the wineries she arranged for me to visit. De Trafford and Thelema wineries were... more

This was my first visit to Cape Town in mid May 2008 with the intention of devoting a fair amount of time to side trips to the Winelands. Discovered the Wine Desk @ The Waterfront via Platters Wine Guide and cross referenced to the favourable reviews on Trip Advisor. Various e-mail exchanges with the very helpful Ligia before I left... more

We had a great time! Our guide, Cheryl, was fantastic. She knew everything we could possibly want to know about wines, and was completely flexible in making sure we got to all the wine-related activities possible. They also booked us into the best restaurants in each city we went to, so our wine and food adventure was truly memorable. Thanks... more

I came across Wine Desk Waterfront through trip advisor and decided to enquire through them about a self drive itinerary. We have already been to Cape Town once before and loved it so decided to come back. This time with 6 people. We wanted to do some different things and had some ideas but wanted to know if what we... more

My husband and I had a great experience with The Wine Desk in Cape Town. We usually like to organize our own trips, but we knew South Africa was a popular holiday destination and we got a late start in planning. Ligia organized a self-drive wine tour and guided safari for us, which was a great intro to South Africa.... more

9th Jan 2008 We found the Wine Desk at the tourist office in the Clock Tower at the V&A to extremely helpful in organising our recent full day tour of local wineries. They also helped us with booking tickets for the Robben Island Museum which would have been booked out for the duration of our trip if we had waited... more

The best place to arrange your tour to the winelands, they run 7 days a week, for a full or half day and their website is excellent. Collection and drop off from your door with interesting, knowledgeable guides in small groups. more

We enjoyed a full day tour in the Wellington/Paarl winelands, less than an hour from Cape Town, although you can take the option of a half day tour. We were collected from our door, and a small group of us toured five wineries in total. Our vehicle was spacious and comfortable and it was so enjoyable letting someone else drive... more
