We stayed at the Beachcomber Hotel for a night although we had reservations for 3 nights. Many things went wrong in one night and we had to leave. Bathroom lock did not operate properly, we could not open the bathroom door. we called the front desk, they came to open the bathroom door but they could not either. So they... more

My wife and I had to overnight in Antigua recently and we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and the fact that it had a beach as my wife wanted to bathe after a long flight. On arrival we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. But once show to the room/cottage that is where... more

We stayed at the Beachcomber for 1 night as we were awaiting connecting flight to St Croix. Its not that bad..its a cheap hotel (£55 for the 3 of us) so you bascially get what you paid for. The people on reception was not overly friendly but they also was not rude to us. Its not an hotel that you... more

we stayed there 1 night during the cricket world cup 2007. Thank god I had not committed to reservations for more nights. The checkin desk is poorly lighted and rundown. Checkin staff seemed to have an attitude. The walkway to the cottage was dark and full of large stones. In the US, this would be an ivitation for a lawsuit.... more

Another great 2 weeks spent at the Beachcomber. Many thanks to Sybil and all the staff for looking after us so well again. With some of the reviews posted, I have to wonder what some people want from a holiday. I look for good weather, total relaxation, a warm atmosphere and friendly people, all of which you will find at... more

We missed our connection to Dominica and therefore had to spend the night in Antigua. I asked the information booth attendant at the airport for a recommendation. We wanted a nice hotel, but something not too far from the airport as we had to be back at 6am the next morning and it was already 6pm. She recommended the Antigua... more

Most of these reviews are terribly unfair! I was last there October 2006 and am going again in a few weeks. It's one of the most relaxing places you will ever find. It's located directly on the beach, where you have your own private little bungalow; the food, albeit expensive, is excellent; the staff are so warm and friendly and... more

First of all, the buliding looks more like a warehouse than a Hotel. Dirty sheets, smelly room and dangerous (exposed)electrical connections. I was need to ask for another room because the AC was no working, when I lift the cover to check the filter is was dirty as not being cleaned for years! They moved me to another room with... more

This place is a decrepid overpriced dump. Broken or tatty furniture & decor, a half full pool because the liner is ripped, an unattractive dirty beach. We used it for a day room before our night flight, i would rather sleep on a bench at the airport than be there at night. We tried to have an afternoon sleep but... more

This hotel has had some good and bad reviews in the past. I think the reviews are a function of expectations. This is not really a resort. It appears to be primarily used by business people as it is very handy to the airport. Airport noise is not a problem as it is not in the flight path and the... more
