We only booked here because of an airline charter deal. If you have a choice, stay at a Casa Particular - much cheaper ($25-35/night), friendlier, and just as well located, if not better. Day 1: Bellhop demanded $5CUC for showing use to the room, not bad when the average monthly salary in Cuba is $20CUC; the advertised welcome cocktail was... more

I stayed at the Havana Riviera (see March review "Avoid if Possible") and this one back in late February. Park View was the better of the two for location, for no mold (!), and for cleanliness. It's small and has no amenities other than a bar, but if you're OK without a pool and just want a good budget hotel... more

The hotel's location is very good. Just around the corner from Museo de la Revolucion and the Paseo del Prado. It's a short walk to the big hotels around the Capitolio in Centro Habana; to the Malecon; and to old Havana. You won't find a cheaper hotel in this area. However, during our one week stay, the air-conditioning system didn't... more

This is one of those mid size modestly priced hotels that was a real bargain and very comfortable. The room was fairly small but nice and comfy. Although I didn't have much of a view I had windows on two walls so it was surprisingly bright. It was clean, the hot water worked for long showers, and the tv had... more

It is a good hotel for Havana's standards... it means it is clean, good staff, good furniture... very well located... however, there is no internet connexion (although it is very close to a hotel that it has)... in sum, I would recommend to go there for 1-2 days and find a legal house (the ones the cubans may rent to... more

This hotel is fine if you just want a bed in Havana for a few nights. Our room was small but adequate and was clean. The restaurant on the top floor did have fine views of the city, but you have to stand up to see them! We had breakfast included in the rate, but it was not worth having... more

Where to start? I am surprised there aren't more reviews of this hotel but I guess because it's not written up in Lonely Planet, it doesn't "rate". At 54 pesos/night, it's a bargain for the area. It is a few minutes walk from absolutely everything. I stayed here 6 nights as booked by Peregrine tours, before and after my travels... more

There aren't many cheaper deals for hotels in the old town in Havana, and if you don't want to stay in a casa particular you could do a lot worse. The location is great, close to a lot of attractions, the old town, revolution museum, seafront, restautants and nightlife and there are good views from the 7th floor restaurant/breakfast room.... more

Firstly, it does have most of the things that other reviews have mentioned but my experience differs a little. I had no hot water in my bathroom and despite complaining about it twice nothing was done. Also, the food served for breakfast wasn't expecially nice, so much so that I got food poisoning from it and ended up being sick... more

In all my world travels, Park View Hotel was the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in-loved it. All the staff were outstanding. The hotel is in the heart of Old Havana, so it's most convenient. The restaurant prepared delicious food. Jose, (or was it Jorge?)the bartender, made superb Mojitas. My room was comfortable and clean. Quiet. My only difficulty was... more
