I went to Puerto Rico Memorial weekend with a large group. I had friends staying in different hotels on teh strip and by far this was the best. Beach - amazing Pools - They have the best private pools Food - Great Room Service expensive - Late dinner for 3 people was $145 and we had the sample appetizers and... more

My husband and I decided to go to Vieques for our 10 year anniversary March 2nd -6th. I loved the write up that Forbes had on the island and we have had great luck going to some of these "up and coming" island locations before they are swarming with tourists. I have to say that Vieques lived up to everything... more

I have just returned from a 4 day stay at this magnificent resort. The hotel is well kept. I stayed in the ocean view room and it was nice and spacious. The resort is more of a family resort. I was there with my husband and didnt mind it too much since we didnt spend too much time there, but... more

I just came back from spending three memorable days at Vieques and I can't wait to get back. Even though getting to Vieques could be some challenge, specially if you decide to take the Water Ferry Service, we spent a great time throughout the island. We decided to stay at the Martineau Bay Resort because of the positive reviews and... more

Well.....it is closing..... We went there with an open mind, knowing it was closing and were shocked at how over-crowded with CHILDREN under 10 it was! So much for the quiet-romantic-laid back-stress-less atmosphere we were looking for. There were Good things, they just did not rise above the bad too often! Great Staff - helpful to the ends of the... more

First of all this is a pretty expensive place, but I guess you can expect that with any resort. What I didn't expect is that the place was kinda in shabby condition... cracked walls, clogged sink in our room, fridge that barely worked... It didn't seem like they spent much of their budget on upkeep. I didn't spring for the... more

My husband and I stayed here only one night, but wished we would have stayed longer! We had been staying in Rio Grande at the Wyndham and took the ferry over to Vieques. We rented a jeep from the Martineau car rental which was very convenient to the hotel. The came and picked us up and dropped us off again... more

I just returned from seven days at the resort. It is beautiful -- the beach is fabulous and never too crowded, the water is supreme. My only "negative" comment was the service at the front desk. I had a very poor time checking in and out of the hotel. Upon arrival, I had to wait 45 minutes to even be... more
