Returned to the Somerset for a most relaxing stay and was definately still blown away! The property is still IMO the most beautiful property on Grace Bay. The layout of the property and the architecture of the buildings with the ocean facing pools provide a very relaxing venue . Service from the entire staff was most impressive. At check in... more

Just got back so here is the current scoop: Property: is beautiful and well maintained. Pool: Awesome but getting umbrella is sometimes a challenge. Drop your stuff off before breakfast. Beach: Awesome. Not crowded at all. Umbrellas can be at a premium and staff is slow to move Staff: Move slow and money doesnt make them go faster. Bright spots... more

We visited the Somerset last year and I have read some of the recently posted reviews. People need to understand that the island of providenciales is not for everyone. It is an island that is still mostly Haitian refugees who live in deplorable conditions. If you take a jaunt to the Conk Shack you will see what I mean. We... more

The Somerset is beautiful and you could not ask for better service. Our room was upgraded by the night manager because we were part of a wedding party for the rehearsal dinner being held there. We are also getting the 3rd night free. The rooms were large and very inviting. The actual wedding was held at the Amanyara on the... more

Let me start by saying that the the whole island is extremely overpriced for what you get in terms of service and quality of product. There is nothing else on the island but Grace Bay full stop. I dont know why its so popular. We went to the somerset as part of our honeymoon for 10 nights in a one... more

Fantastic! The Somerset is easily one of the best resorts, if not the best, on Grace Bay. The quality of the rooms is second to none. The highlight is obviously the beach. We would find maybe 8-10 other people on the beach in front of Somerset Mon-Thurs. Friday to Sunday, there may be a half dozen more...point being, the beach... more

First, my wife and I had the most relaxing vacation in years which included hobie catting, snorkeling and lots of wading in the turqoise colored water with its white sandy beach. Secondly the reason for an excellent stay was the great staff at Somerset . It all starts at the Airport arrival where you are greeted by either Warren or... more

The Somerset is a great hotel and we recommend it for Grace Bay. We checked out the other hotels and The Somerset was the prettiest one without construction nearby. The hotel rooms are HUGE, with 4 stories and viking appliances! We stayed in an English Garden room. The whirlpool tub and seperate shower stall was a nice surprise. The free... more

We booked our anniversary vacation in January of 2008 through American Airlines Vacations and paid $2,200.00. This included roundtrip airfare from Tampa, Fl and 4 nights at The Somerset on Grace Bay. The plane fare was about $ 1,000.00 and the room was about $300.00 per night. Our first mistake was relying on a Fodors Guide to The Caribbean to... more

Our stay at The Somerset at Grace Bay was excellent. Everyone at the resort (and all of TCI) was very genuine and friendly. The resort offers many complimentary activities (kayaks, sailboats, snorkeling equipment, croquet, DVD/book library, etc.) as well as high speed internet access. Many island resorts tend to nickel and dime but not the Somerset. The service was excellent... more
