This charming, comfortable 5 room posada is located near Loreto's downtown plaza and a short walk to the waterfront. The original casa was built around 1918 and restored in 2005 with a flavor of "old mexico" while adding modern amenities. The sala, patio, porch and garden area welcome visitors. There is WiFi, a library of books and DVD's, secure parking and a loving dog to pet. Many traveler's find themselves returning to this friendly inn. more » « less

Wow. This is a lovely place. It's well located in Loreto which makes it easy to pop in and out anytime. It's also very well decorated. The owners, Debora and Gerado are lovely people who made us feel very welcome. We felt like we had made friends when we left. Frequently, Gerado would run out of the Kitchen with some... more

Well located in Loreto, I spend there 3 wonderful days. Clean (you are in Baja not in a Hilton property), Debora and his superb friend help us to feel like at home and an informal dinner on the kitchen gives to us the chanche to meet the other guests (a super-friendly french family). In Loreto the beach is not so... more

Two friends of mine stayed here on a bike trip through Baja, had a wonderful time, and recommended my partner and I also stay on our trip to Baja. They were absolutely right. The inn is a lively and cozy place with nice gardens, a lovely patio where we met and shared stories with other travelers, extremely comfortable beds, and... more

We stay at this hotel for 2 nights which was much enough.... Our room was on the ground flour, called "mama quartera". The decoration was depressing, very old fashioned. But the worst was waiting for us in the bathroom which was much more depressing than the rest of the room, disgusting....dirty and smelling mold..... We stayed at this hotel during... more

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in Loreto in late April. Using the La Damiana as a base of operations we biked, kayaked, fished, swam, explored in general and had a wonderful time. The proprietors Debora and Gerardo were gracious and helpfull hosts. They offered suggestions and useful information about virtually anything we wanted to do or know... more

This charming inn is located in the middle of downtown Loreto, but only two short blocks from the port (Malecon) and beach! It features artistically rendered rooms, large comfortable beds, fans and AC, a communal patio area and large shared kitchen. Importantly, the lady who runs the hotel (Deb) is an incredibly sweet expat who can point you toward whatever... more

We stayed here and were very impressed with the Inn. Debora was very helpful with tour information as well as information on area restaurants. The inn is close to everything in Loreto, including Mike's Bar, which happens to be very lively (make that noisy) until 3am on weekends. Oh well, it livened up our wonderful travel experience in Loreto. A... more

What a wonderful place to settle in to! We stayed for a couple of days on either side of a kayak trip. We were made to feel completely at home - had full use of the great outdoor kitchen, left luggage during our kayak trip and given tastes of all sorts of mexican culinary delights! Highly recommended for their delightful... more

We felt so lucky to have found La Damiana to stay in for our first trip to Loreto. We spent 7 nights there and used the inn as a base while exploring this beautiful area. Debora and Gerardo were excellent hosts and run a homey, thoroughly Mexican inn. The location is perfect for getting around the city; no car needed,... more
