Gorgeous Hacienda, located in the hills above Guanajuato, this is a place not to be missed. The views alone are to die for but the home and rooms are just as fabulous. I'm running out of superlative adjectives. The home is filled with the fragrance of bouganvilla. The rooms are immaculate and tasteful, with views I'll never forget. Laying in... more

Everything needed was available to us, and if we had trouble finding anything, there was always someone to ask. All the staff was very friendly (even with the Spanish-impaired like me). Each breakfast was delicious, unique, and very filling. Snacks were readily available when we didn't meal-plan well (the restaurant in walking distance closes at 6 PM), as were complimentary... more

We stayed at the Casa Estrella de la Valenciana for 4 nights in December, 2007. The hotel was everything we could have hoped for. It was like visiting very special friends in a lovely home. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Casa Valenciana with lovely appointments, including private areas including a terrace with a hot tub.... more

Stayed the night at Casa de Estrella on the way to San Miguel de Allende. Though a little tough to find, once there you'll love it. High above Guanajuato, you'll want to stay on property and enjoy the views. Rooms are wonderful, breakfast is large and tasty. A short taxi ride to downtown. Very nice Innkeeper. We'll be back! more

A beautiful building with an exquisite design. Great views, great manager/owner who really understands what it takes to make a hotel successful. Terrific room....we were in El Reyes. The only crit I have is with the bathroom. The window in the bathroom is translucent and faces a courtyard. The courtyard is lit at night, and the light streams in through... more

this is distant from guanajuato attractions. loud barking dogs, esp. early in the morning. expensive taxi rides back and forth. lights not working and other broken fixtures. all in all, why would anyone stay here? more

Our inn is a 5-minute walk to the Valenciana Church, one of Mexico’s finest colonial churches, the Valenciana Mine, as well as the Casa Del Conde Restaurant and Galleria. All are well-known in all of the travel guides and websites. We are a ten-minute taxi ride to the city center (3 kilometers or less than 2 miles). The cost ranges...

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Guanajuato where my friends and I spent four delightful and luxurious nights at Casa Estrella. The place is gorgeous, clean, and beautifully appointed. The staff is just lovely; we especially enjoyed Angelica's incredible breakfasts and all of Javier's kind attentions. Speaking of attention...Sharon is the best! She added so much to our... more

This hotel was really lovely and first class. The staff was helpful and accomadating. It was my 20 yr. olds birthday and they got her a cake. Very thoughtful people and the place was beautiful. I highly recommend staying here. more

My husband and I have stayed at a number of wonderful places in Guanajuato but upon reading the negative review of a poster I felt compelled to comment - this beautiful bed and breakfast is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous, upscale, attentive to every need inns we've ever stayed in whether it be in the States or... more
