We stayed at the Casa Estrella de la Valenciana for 4 nights in December, 2007. The hotel was everything we could have hoped for. It was like visiting very special friends in a lovely home. Stayed the night at Casa de Estrella on the way to San Miguel de Allende. Though a little tough to find, once there you'll love it. High above Guanajuato, you'll want to stay on property and enjoy the views. Rooms are wonderful, breakfast is large and tasty. A short taxi ride to downtown. Very nice Innkeeper. We'll be back! more

this is distant from guanajuato attractions. loud barking dogs, esp. early in the morning. expensive taxi rides back and forth. lights not working and other broken fixtures. all in all, why would anyone stay here? more
