On a quiet street in the heart of San Miguel less than two blocks from the central plaza with its verdant and carefully trimmed ficus trees I found my oasis -- The Oasis. This luxury boutique hotel is indeed an oasis for a veteran traveler who is willing to battle planes and taxis and cobblestones to find that special ‘safe... more

We loved the Oasis. . The location is perfect for exploring all of the historic center on foot and Martin and Nancy's recommendations were constantly right on from restaurants to how we might enjoy spending our days. They took care of all our planning details and saved us a lot of time by pointing us in the right directions. Be... more

The rooms are even better than the pictures on the website. The staff are well trained, bilingual and very patient and attentive to guests special requests. The advice they provided about local restaurants and attractions made our visit even better than we had expected. This is by far the best B&B I have e ervisted or heard of. It is... more

Whenever we travel my husband and I put a lot of time and effort into researching the hotels. The Oasis kept peaking our interest. We had been seeing it featured in all the top travel magazines so when we planned our return visit to San Miguel we decided to give it a try. Working with Martin the manager was a... more

There is a huge difference in what a hotel can claim and what it actually delivers. The Oasis is the real thing. A true luxury boutique hotel that doesnt just rely on its size for its charm. There isn't anything that we could find that was missing from our experience at this hotel. We highly recommend the Oasis for even... more

I just got back from San Miguel De Allende and couldn't wait to post a review of Oasis. I have stayed in hotels (big and small) all over Mexico and I am often disappointed. I am impressed by Oasis. The owners (a couple from Texas) have put so much attention into the details of this little hotel from the 1000... more

The hotel Oasis far surpassed all our expectations for a small luxury hotel experience. As soon as we stepped through the door we knew we had found something special. This was not our first trip to San Miguel and to be honest our past accommodations at other recommended hotels have left us wanting. It’s easy to see why the Oasis... more

We stayed at both these properties in May - while they're different price points, we thought it might be useful to provide a comparison as they were listed ast #1 and #2 in popularity on this site. (see separate review for Casa Schuck). Upon arrival, the staff at Oasis immediately whisked us to our room and took care of our... more
