Our stay at the Renaissance was very nice. Everyone was very helpful...starting with Alex, the concierge. My husband was at the Renaissance for a meeting so I was free during the day to tour the city. Some of us went on the Trolley tour so we could hop on and off with narration on the way. One day we took... more

My family (7 total) all stayed at this hotel for the World Championship Triathlon and really enjoyed this hotel. It was the host hotel which made it convient for the athlete in our family but was very convient to things we wanted to do in Vancouver. My sister and her husband stayed on the 6th floor and their room hadn't... more

Just checked in today (24 May) and received a newly renovated room with a spectacular view of the harbor. Check-in was extremely friendly and prompt, in-room internet access is complementary, and the location is great--located in what appears to be the center of the downtown harbor area. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. more

I stayed at this hotel when I attended a conference recently and was pleasantly surprised with the NEWLY RENOVATED ROOMS! The bed was very very comfortable, you just sink in the luxury of the sheets! The location was awesome close to everything the city has to offer, shopping, restaurants and the convention centre. The service was prompt and genuine. I... more

Renovation creates noise and strong paint smell on selected floors. Room was left uncleaned twice until one of the staff was directly asked. Noise from the hallway leaks into the room through the door. Bathtub does not drain properly. When complained was promised quick resolution. Still waiting. For the price: CAD199 it is truly bad. more

After a few days of skiing, our family of five booked two rooms for a day and a half of sightseeing in Vancouver. Although one King and two Doubles Adjoining rooms were requested, the hotel could only provide us an adjoining room with Doubles in each. Not quite sure that this should happen in a nice hotel, but we accepted... more

We stayed at the Renaissance, Vancouver for 5 nights and we had a superb time. Yes, the hotel is in the midst of some major refurbishment but we were on the 8th floor and weren't at all affected by the work going on above us. We didn't have any complaints - our room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable,... more

Saw a rate of $99 with AAA card, and decided it looked pretty decent for the price, so booked it for one night...a Saturday. It is not close to the water as it appeared to be in the photos. Just a view of the water if you got high enough to clear all the other buildings surrounding it...we didn't. Check-in... more

We stayed at the Renaissance Harborside hotel in February two times, one night after arriving in Vancouver, and the second time for two nights before returning home from the same trip. My boyfriend and I are both in our early 20's and we decided to drive down to stay with my mother during her business trip. The stay was mediocre... more

Good quiet location close to Robson St, Harbourfront and Stanley Park. Very friendly staff, great buffet breakfast where our kids (3yrs and 1yr) were made to feel most welcome. Don't be alarmed by current reno's, just in the rooms (floors are closed) wouldn't have known there was any reno's happening if the hotel website hadn't mentioned it. There was no... more
