We fell in love with the Chester Grosvenor when we went to look at the possibility of getting married there back in January 07. We just knew it was the right place for us. We have stayed at the hotel a couple of times prior to our wedding or nipped in for lunch in the brasserie and as you would... more

I had stayed at the Chester Grosvenor before and had enjoyed the experience but the highlight had been dinner in the main restaurant called Arkle so it was with some tripadation that I returned to the hotel having heard that the resturant had been "transformed". I had been satisfied before and working on the thenme if it aint broke don't... more

I had an amazing time at this hotel. The service was excellent, second to none. The building is beautiful - all the public rooms are stunning. Our room was a classic double, decorated beautifully and so large that was like a studio flat, with a bedroom, lounge area and bathroom. The only problem was a stain on the bath robe... more

We stayed here for a long weekend recently for our wedding anniversary and whilst we did enjoy it, I think it was quite expensive and just lacking in certain areas of service for a 5* hotel. We had a phone call the week before our stay, ostensibly a confirmation call but they then went on to try to sell us... more

We arrived at the Chester Grosvenor in the mid-afternoon. The hotel is a devil to get to (even with GPS we drove around and around). It's inside the castle walls (perfect location!) and there are plenty of one-way and pedestrian only streets. We found the parking garage (same as the mall...go to 2A for the hotel...when you see the Bentley... more

This hotel is excellent. Anyone who thinks it pretentious simply does not need to be staying in a place with service and ammenities that rival, or possibly exceed, a Ritz Carlton. The staff are considerate, personable and attentive, and on the spot to address any question or concern in a matter of minutes. The location can't be beat. The accomodations... more

Attended a retirement party on the 26"July 2008. Dinner in The Milford Suite to recognise the achivements of Mr Bernard Harris during his 28 years at Wynnstay Group PLC and stayed one night B&B. The food and service was excellent, but the bedroom my wife and I were allocated was only average for this class of hotel. more

Celebrated my Mum's 60th Birthday here, chose the Hotel for some divine decadence, was not disappointed. From the lush soft furnishings through to to the filter coffee press and ice buckets in the bedrooms, everything here oozed five star chic. This is possibly the best hotel I've stayed in in the UK. The attention to detail from the staff (even... more
