Stayed for 4 nights in May 2007. This is a small, unpretentious 3 star hotel very well situated for sightseeing. The Prado is a few minutes' walk and there are several other galleries nearby; the Metro is about 5-10 minutes' walk for access other parts of the city. The hotel claims to have a 'wine' theme for no obvious reason... more

Super little hotel - very reasonable - in an excellent location. Very helpful staff. If there were more facilities it would not be so reasonably priced. We didn't really "get" the wine theme though! more

We had a great stay at El Prado. A quick walk from the subway stop. We loved the location -very close to all the major tourist sites and within walking distance to the Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Anna, our flamenco show (at Casa Patas) and many more! Our room was incredibly small but very nice with standard amenities. The... more

This hotel is comfortable and well situated...in a lovely neighborhood walking distance to the Prado Museum. We were two families traveling together during spring break when we stayed at the El Prado for four nights. When we arrived at our next destination we realized that we had left cash and travelers checks in our room safe...with the safe door open... more

I booked a single, non-smoking room at El Prado for three nights. The hotel is very conveniently located. If you arrive by train to the main station in Madrid, just hop on the metro and get off at Anton Martin stop. The hotel is about five minute walk from there. Museums Thyssen and Prado are within 10 minutes walking distance..... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel El Prado from April 20th – 22nd. We paid US$156 per night, which included breakfast. The hotel is very well-located; walking distance to the Prado and the Thyssen. The metro was a 10 minute walk (with suitcases), but not a major inconvenience. The lobby is not very impressive, but the rooms were... more

We just returned from a week at the Hotel El Prado in Madrid. The hotel is located in the Barrio de las Letras, and within convenient walking distance to everything including the plaza de Santa Ana, which offers a selection of cafes and restaurants. The hotel is very clean, and had internet access for guests. The internet access worked, which... more

Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor, we booked two nights accommodation at the Hotel El Prado in Madrid. The standard of accommodation was good and constitutes real value for money. In support of other reviews posted, there is alot of street noise on a Saturday night /Sunday morning (usually from car horns and good humoured late night revellers) so ask... more

I travelled to Madrid with 2 friends in May. We chose the Hotel El Prado (aka Kris El Prado) because of previous reviews and it's location. The hotel was coming to the end of refurbistment while we were there but this was being completed distreetly and did not disturb our enjoyment. All the rooms have a wine theme not sure... more
