We called the hotel the day we wanted to arrive there in June. The rooms were greatly discounted (90 Euros for a double), so we booked two rooms for our family. Service was impeccable. Breakfast was outstanding - fresh juices, meats, cheeses, pastries. This is our fourth stay in 3 years. I really won't stay anywhere else in Rome. Even... more

Located in a residential area called the Aventine, might not be the best choice if you don't have a car. Other than that, it's still one of the best choices in Rome, where hotels of much lower quality can be fairly expensive. Very calm, reasonably priced (the average room rate is around 150 euros), with nicely decorated rooms and elegant... more

My overall stay at San Pio was very satisfactory: Location: Although not exactly a walking distance from the city center yet it is not more than 5 minutes by taxi from Via del Corso. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is a very nice quite residential area, so there is barely any noise around you. Hotel: it is a... more

We booked this hotel though booking.com. We paid 150 euros per night, breakfasts included. Our room was spacious, clean, marble bathroom has jacuzzi ! The hotel is romantic with garden and nice smelling jasmine flowers. Breakfasts are great with various choices and good cappucino! Staffs are courteous too. The hotel is located in a residential neighbourhood called Aventine Hills, so... more

It's been a while since we stayed there but we still talk about how much we loved it. Rome is incredibly chaotic and loud, and this hotel is located in a lovely, quiet residential location with a beautiful garden. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, the bathroom was really spacious and nice too. Breakfast was generous, varied, and... more

We booked this hotel for 4 nights from TripAdvisor reccomendations and were thoroughly delighted with it. Having such a peaceful location made such a difference to our stay. Central Rome is pretty much just mayhem all the time and incredibly noisy, so having somewhere within walking distance to retreat to at night was brilliant. The room was lovely, nicely decorated... more

We stayed for 5 nights in this hotel for the run up to our wedding in Rome with Wed-In-Rome. We wanted somewhere where all our parents could stay in the same hotel as us with lots of outdoor seating / eating and a little quieter than the majority of Rome hotels - This hotel could not be more perfect for... more

We stayed at the Villa San Pio for the first three nights of our honeymoon in Italy and also the last night before we headed back to the US. We has a beautiful room with a large wrap-around balconey. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast decent. This hotel is located very close to the Metro station making it accessible... more

This is a charming hotel set a kilometer or two back from the touristy area surrounding the Collisseum and Roman Forum. Attractions are still available via the Pyramida metro stop, located within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel. Staff is sufficiently helpful, and the bathrooms are large and luxurious by European standards. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi feature in our bathtub... more
