This is probably not the most grand in appearance hotel in Venice, but it is definately one of the very best in service and attention to detail. My husband and I recently stayed at the Bauer for two nights in Venice and loved it! Knowing that many european hotels are small, I expected the smaller room given, and the management allowed me to look at a larger room! We kept our smaller room as it had a lovely balcony with sweeping views of the city and water.... more

had a lovely stay hotel amazing although did ask for another room as was on side given suite, and had lovely 5 night stay. st marcs square 5 mins walk, and so pleased we had private water taxi back and forth to from airport. didnt eat at hotel although breakfast was super. staff were so helpful and will definately return more

The location of the Bauer is perfect for a trip to Venice. It has its own small square to the front of the hotel, it has tremendous views of the Grand Canal at the rear, and is only a 5 minute walk from St. Marks Square. There is no denying the fact the room was lovely. We had a drawing room with silk wallpaper and a jacuzzi bath for god's sake! The concierge were snobby and arrogant but the barmen, waitresses and maids were really nice. We spent 5 magical nights in this hotel for our honeymoon ...Location is just PERFECT (3 minutes from San Marc, in the heart of the luxury shopping center)...Room is typically in venician style, spacious, very confortable with AMAZING view (huge terrace over the grand Canal and Chiesa del Salute) ...
