The rooms are very small though clean. Location a good 20 minutes from the centre and would recommend hiring bikes ,No nearby place to eatl.Thin walls,Breakfast slightly better than average. We stayed there for 3 nights. more

Ugly from the outside, newly rennovated and clean inside. Athmosphere: The hotel is best described as the OPPOSITE of charming. The rooms are extremely small (well, "piccolo" I guess...). In particular the beds are amongst the least comfortables I've seen for a long time. Breakfast is ok. 15min walk into the city. The hotel bus also needs 15min and has... more

I guess 'you get what you pay for' would be appropriate here. The room was little over 80 euro a night which was by far the cheapest around in opera season. It is about 15 min walk to the old city but its a very pleasant walk unless your a girl in heels then the cobbled stones might push you... more

Our experience at the hotel piccolo was very bad and actually I don't think that the piccolo hotel deserves his 3 stars. We had a room with two small twin beds (even if we asked for a double room), a small stinky bathroom and bugs in the room- not good considering that we spent 150 euro. The personnel was not... more

We thouroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at the Piccolo. The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was good and we were only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Our room overlooked a canal and was very quiet. Baruch and Rimma, Israel more

Rooms: Our room was standard in size. We travelled with our 20 months son old and had a cot in the room. It was a bit tight but still manageable. The room was clean and so were the bathroom and toilets. Location: The hotel is located within a walking distance from the train station, nevertheless it is quite enough and... more

My parents, sister and I stayed at the Piccolo and we weren't disappointed. I was a bit worried after the mixed reviews on here but the hotel was absolutely fine. The rooms were clean and although a little on the small size, they were perfectly adequate. Nice decor and well lit, we had two rooms between the four of us.... more

We stayed at Piccolo in February on Valentine's..the weather wasn't very good but the hotel, excellent. We only paid 60euros per night and it was close to the train station, 15 min walk from the centre. the room was nice, clean, and we liked the bathroom too. I read some reviews here and some people who wrote bad things, I... more

Good breakfast (except from the horrible american coffee). Some staff were really friendly, some were a bit rude. We loved the self service bar at the lounge area. The hotel is very close to the train station but a bit far away from the city(30 mins walk to the city) but this was not a problem for us. The room... more
