The Hotel Alessandra is an excellent value (80 EU) in a beautiful but very expensive city. The location on a narrow little street with views of the Arno RIver (steps to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi) cannot be beat. Ditto to all the positive comments in other reviews. Just want to add that the quad room was a very generous size with a king size bed and two comfortable twin beds. The hotel had a lovely situation, easy quick access to local attractions. Disappointmented with mildew on bathroom ceiling. Entrance very disappointing, concrete stone entrance, shabby ,up three flight of stairs. Lift which would not fit luggage as it was tiny.
