The Botel would have been better left on the canal. At the moment, the boat is on an estuary and there are many cruise ships, and cargo ships going by and the wash from those vessels make the botel rock all the time. Me and my boyfriend stayed at the botel from the end of july until 9th. august. It... more

Will never go back, and you should not go either. . The BOTEL moved to the north side of Amsterdam and is accessible by a ferry and should be a 2 star hotel, not a three. The rooms are way too small and the showers are made for elves. ! People come back at all times of the night drunk... more

We stayed at the Botel 8,9 June, 2008. We arrived at 1300 and had to wait another hour for check in. We did go to the nearby restaurant which had good food. We checked into room 227. The shower did not drain, the front desk person did not care, but did offer to switch us to 235. No offer of... more

Unfortunately this botel has moved from where it was moored and is now accessable by ferry that goes every hour (free) there are no shops or anywhere decent to get a drink,we paid over the odds £105 per night and was told we would get a hot buffet, don`t be fooled they don`t do evening meals it refers to breakfast, which was... more

The Botel takes around 25 mins to get to the main area of Amsterdam the ferry runs every 30 mins and are very reliable they stop around 12 45 most days , and avoid a taxi they charge 35 - 40 euro for the one way journey , you can call the hotel shuttle done just expect it to turn... more

We stayed at the Amstel Botel Amsterdam between the 23rd-26th March 2008. The Botel is easy to get to from the airport. On arrival at Schipol airport the train station is well signed and situated within the same building. You need the train to Centraal Station which cost 8.60 euros for two adults. Once you get to central station follow... more

This floating hotel has decent rooms with very narrow bathroom; my room was not very clean, in particular the bath. During the night you can hear people shouting in the hallway and of course a very deep smell of cannabis. I didn't really like that one day, early in the morning, a staff's member suddenly broke into my room without... more

Hey, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, we picked this hotel on price and we got what we paid for. Dont get me wrong its not a palace but it was clean, tidy and warm and to be honest if you where expecting something grander then check how little you paid and think again. The rooms are... more

In the interest of trying to save my company a couple of bucks, and because I am in A'dam all the time (working for a Dutch company), I tried the Botel. I cannot even describe the torture of this accomodation. First, they have you pay for the entire stay in advance (understandable after the fact). The room itself was adequate,... more

I wholeheartedly implore people to look elsewhere in Amsterdam for a hotel - as there are much nicer places to stay!! The last moment website we booked this through gives it an incredibly unrealistic 3 stars... We booked this on the recommendation of a friend who I can only imagine did not spend much time on the botel! I had... more
