We arrived by eurostar at Gare du Nord, as it was our first time in Paris we were unfamiliar with the underground. Absolutely spot on hotel. We got conned by the taxi driver as we never asked how much before getting in and he charged us 72euros for a 2KM journey, he drove past it and circled it for good measure. On arrival after a very long journey we were greeted by an all speaking French receptionist team I have little French but they got very angry and in the end just gave us any room at all. We tried to get dinner on night of arrival and the restaurant was just terrible, very dirty and disorganized with only one waitress... more
