I was here for a meeting so the hotel was not my choice, and I hadn't stayed here before. It is of a high standard and the lobby is very grand. There is a staircase to three mezanine floors of bar/restaurant/meeting/function rooms so the lobby has a very spacious feel. Check in staff were pleasant, but check out staff were... more

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our month-long trip to Australia and were very pleased with the hotel. - Room was not huge but was of sufficient size so you don't feel cramped. - We had access to the executive lounge, and the views from the lounge were absolutely fantastic. - The location of the hotel... more

I stayed in the hotel on 21 June 2008. I was a bit disappointed because I originally booked (through the Marriott website) a non-smoking king bed room. We checked in very early on 21 June and our room was not ready, so we came back late in the peace. When we came back to the hotel, we were given a... more

Out of all the five stars that I have stayed at in Sydney, this was the best by far! The level of service was outstanding, from check in through to dining room service. Had booked a room and was upgraded to a suite because it was my wife's birthday! They have an Executive Lounge that you are given access to... more

This is a typical American chain hotel – everything working well, nothing fancy. We have chosen this hotel because they allow 2 adults plus 2 children in a room (not so common in Sydney) and because of the Opera House view. The surcharge for Opera view was certainly worth it, also because rooms on this side of the building are... more

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a work awards night. It was a very pleasant stay, the room was spacious and decorated in heritage colours. Being a work package we were in the cheapest rooms, so didn't have a view, but no complaints as the room made up for it. Very close to Circular Quay and MCA where... more

Stayed at the Marriott Circular Quay for 4 days in March 2008 during the Easter break. Location was definitely one of the best available, very convenient and super easy access to all ferries, trains and buses. Arrived at 9am, and they were kind enough to let us check-in straight away. Eventhough it wasn't exactly the room that we booked, but... more

Great location, terriffic service and wonderful view (from select rooms). We spent our 10th wedding anniversay trip (adult only trip is ex the 3 kids) at the Marriott and it was excellent. The hotel is a half block from Circular Quay which is the harbor area around the Opera house, Harbor bridge, dozens of excellent restaurants and shopping in the Rocks.... more

We are frequent travelers and booked our room with Marriott using reward pts. We paid the extra surcharge for a room with an Opera House view, and it was worth it! We had a very nice room on high floor. The room and hotel were very clean. Our room was good size and the bathroom was large enough. There was... more

Having seen how highly this hotel scores on Trip Advisor, I'm left feeling that some other reviewers could have a career as wine critics. ;-) I travel a lot and stay in a lot of business hotels around Asia. This hotel doesn't cut it as a 5 star hotel. It perhaps just scrapes through as a 4 star, but more... more
