Having been told Ravesi's had undergone a major refurb we booked 2 nights in a slpit level room for 2 adults & 2 children. We were pleasantly surpised by the size of the room - an open terrace and lounge area included - the decor is funky and included a KING size bed and it was remarkably quiet, given we... more

If you want to know what it feels like to sleep in a bustling bus terminal, then I would highly recommend staying at Ravesi. You cannot possibly find a noisier 5 STAR HOTEL anywhere in the world than Ravesi. Forget about the picture of tranquillity on Ravesi's website - it simply does not exist! The level of noise that you... more

Stayed here April 2007. The most unfriendly bunch of people you will ever meet. Most definitely overated and overpriced. Pay no attention to pics on website. Furnishings are of a cheap quality and room stinks of beer. This is below B&B standard, but at least you get breakfast and a smile at a B&B!! I travel frequently to many destinations... more

Arrived from Tokyo. Went to enjoy the Bondai beach. The bar seemed like a good place to spend the evening. The bar was pretty modern looking and big crowds. At first everything was going just fine. Stuff at the bar very frindly. Untill someone in a suit showed up, telling my Japanese girlfriend that she was not wearing a bracelet... more

Arrived in Sydney from Singapore and met with some friends in Ravesis. The bar has a contemporary feel to it. The bar was very busy; standing only and very noisey. There was an overall lack of friendly atmosphere. I asked for a bottle of champagne to celebrate my arrival and was stunned that the young barman said I was too... more

My wife and I stayed at the hotel as the first stop in Australia on our honeymoon. We`thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating and prepared our room for us quicker than expected. The room itself was a split level room with a view of the beach. It was tastefully furnished (whoever said Ikea obviously doesn't... more

We were surprised to be greeted by the smell of beer sodden carpet as we walked through the crowded bar (passed the bar bouncer) to reach a battered desk that serves as Ravesi's reception. The room was fine (but nothing special) with a lovely view over the beach. The bathroom was small and very basic; you would expect better of... more

we have just returned home from a lovely holiday in sydney. one of the high lights was staying at Ravesis on Bondi, a stunning boutique hotel. mother nature supplied us with sun filled days; ravesis provided us with the perfect location for making the most of sydney life. while the hotel doesn't have five star facilities the staff certainly provided... more

Five-star prices, three- star facilities, bed and breakfast service standards, except they don't even serve breakfast. The owners of this place seem to believe that a few pseudo-designer elements (poorly executed ones, at that) are enough to elevate a very average experience into a special one. They're wrong. You're better off staying at the Shangri-La and taking a cab to... more

Stayed at Ravesis April last year after 3 weeks of 'roughing it' it was a little piece of heaven!, we had the cheapest room which was really comfy, bar is packed at night really good atmosphere, and just over the road from the beach - what more could you want! - would definately stay here again! more
