Port Douglas is a true paradise made all the better thanks to Verandahs. We spent 4 nights at Verandahs in May 2008. The location is very central - less than 5 minutes to the beach or town centre. This is both a blessing and a curse. It's on the main road and very easy to get everywhere. Unfortunately the main road also means traffic and pedestrian noise. It wasn't bad but was enough... more
