the hotel room was nice and roomy, clean and comfortable. We asked gor Gluten free food and this was no problem. Room service was very polite and on time. I asked for a quiet room, and this was OK, although not really quiet with street noise coming through. My colleague had leaky windows that whistled and let the rain into... more

I was at the Hyatt Regency for 3 nights back in June 2005. Everything there was superb...right from the moment we checked in. At the door, we were greeted by friendly bellmen who promptly took our bags up to the room. Everyone at the reception was very warm and friendly. We booked a suite in the residence tower, as we... more

We have stayed at 4 different properties in the Auckland area (Mollies, Hilton, SKYCITY Grand, and Hyatt) and would recommend a stay in the "Residence" section of the Hyatt for anyone who wants a comfortable place to rest after an international flight. Our spacious residence suite had a separate living room, kitchen, and bedroom, which come in handy for travelers,... more

My wife and l spent three days at this location prior to embarking on a cruise. It is not the best Hyatt in the world, but comfortable and genuine. I recommend to all concerned to upgrade to the Club Floor, as it is well worth the expenditure. There seems to be a trend worldwide that all desk staff are a... more

The hotel is in fact in need of aesthetic refurbishments, but the standards are certainly acceptable for a multi-night stay. The hotel is on the older side but is functional and set up more for the business traveler rather than the tourist. That being said, it is at the top of a hill so the walk from the city back... more

I have twice stayed at this hotel. My first stay was five stars -- I stayed in the new wing, the Residence. This is a dream, it is modern, clean, spacious, and the residences have very nice kitchens and tremendous space. A five star experience. My second stay, I unwittingly signed up for the older wing, the Regency. All of... more

I got a great online rate for the club floor, which included wine and nice canapes and breakfast every am. Also, the corporate group I was with had a bus leaving from here every am so it made it the default, Was it new ? No. Was it dirty ? No. Were the staff helpful (ie providing chargers for mobiles,... more

Dont trust the star rating, while the staff are great, the hotel rooms are old, in need of an update and just dont work well from a layout perspective. Hyatt is a big brand, but this hotel is a big let down. Old electrics, rock hard bed that is like concrete and massively expensive for simple things. I asked for... more

My wife & I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Auckland just prior to a cruise. The hotel was average at best, and not what I would have expected from Hyatt. The room was small & dark, & the temperature was hard to regulate. Location is close to University of Auckland & Albert Park. more
