It doesn't take much resort to see that Voyages have a monopoly at Uluru. Why that is allowed is beyond me quite frankly. As a result they get away with charging silly prices for below standard accommodation. I read a lot of people saying that it is far away from everything, should expect high prices etc. I can't agree, they... more

We selected the apartment option at the resort to have space and flexibility with meals, and were not disappointed. Check-in was slow, decor is just a little "tired" and aircon rather noisy. No other complaints. We got an excellent rate for 3 days on resort's own site - cheaper to book for 3 nights than 2! The local supermarket is... more

Whilst I would rate the overall experience 3* the accommodation would be lucky to get 2* certainly not the rating of 4* given to Emu Walk by Voyages. Looked forward to our visit to the red centre. We were not disappointed with the sights, Uluru and Kata Tjuta. However the two roomed apartment leaved lots to be desired. The beds... more

Just spent 3 fanatastic nights with the family in the Red Centre. After all the poor reviews on this site we were sceptical. This was a great time of the year weather wise as the nights were 18c and the days 35-38. Sounds of silence was an amazing experience but would not have been the same in zero temperature. Stayed... more

If you head to Uluru (Ayers Rock) you are pretty much held hostage to the company that controls the resort there and the tours. It's a real shame. The Resort comprises several different "hotels" depending on your budget. Since $700/night was a bit steep for a room with 2 double beds for our family of 4 (including 2 teens of... more

The room said "air conditioning" when purchased but the A/C did not work. We sweat through the sheets for 3 nights. We complained numerous times to the management staff but were given insulting excuses ("it's hot in the desert", "the air conditioning is working fine"), and the attempts to rectify the situation were also pathetic ("here's a 15cm space heater... more

We had pre-booked into the Campground Cabins at the standard rate of AUD 150 per night. On arrival, these were so disgusting that we cancelled our booking and decided to look elsewhere on the resort. The previous evening we had looked at wotif.com and found rooms at Emu Walk Apartments available at AUD 199/night which was the rate we eventually... more

We travelled as a group of 4 adults and chose these apartments, as everything else is extortionatly priced in the resort. However for these apartments I feel that even these are too expensive. These apartments have a rating of 4 star ?! I'd give it 2. The apartment was reasonably clean, but the decor was extremely dated. The bathroom was... more

You probably already know (or should know) that you have only one company to choose from if staying near Uluru, so prices are HIGH. We are a family of four, and chose Emu Walk as a slightly more affordable (less outrageously expensive?) option. The apartment works for what it is, a functional place to stay while visiting the area. The... more
