We stayed at the Andrassy from July 15-18th. The hotel lobby was under construction so we were immediately upgraded to a superior room without even asking. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and friendly upon our arrival. Our room was on facing Andrassy Street with a lovely balcony. Andrassy is truly one of the most beautiful streets in town, with gorgeous... more

Decent clean hotel, with a very good location. A high quality restaurant off the lobby. The room was OK, but it was pretty warm when we were there and the air-conditioning barley keeps up. I can't understand the European aversion to decent air-conditioning. I guess Europeans don't mind being "ripe". In any event, I would recommend the hotel at any... more

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, making my booking directly via the hotel. Though the hotel is located approx. a 15 to 30 minute walk from the start of the main city centre and then onto the Danube, there is a metro station about a minutes walk away from the hotel. The hotel's reception sells tickets for the... more

The Andrassy is a small, chic, modern hotel just two blocks away from Heros Square. The common areas are very posh. The staff are supremely professional, polished and helpful. One of the bellhops, Gabor, was our Wikipedia of Budapest. He provided us with excellent recommendations to restaurants around town. We dined at the hotel restaurant one night. I was delicious... more

We stayed here after booking flights and the hotel through BA on a special deal, and then I saw all the fab reviews on here! We found all of the reception staff were exceptionally friendly and the glass of champagne on arrival - especially when you turn up at 11am a perfect start to the weekend! We stayed for 3... more

We stayed ate the Andrassy with a group of 25 people and we were worried that they might not be able to cope with so many all at once. Our fears soon disappeared when we saw them handle everything very smoothly. A glass of sparkling wine greeted us at reception as we booked in and the room we were given... more

Stayed in the Andrassy Hotel for three nights with my husband. I originally booked because I thought it was near the Opera House but it was at least 30 minute walk, however easy to reach by tube. Staff friendly and helpful and all areas of hotel clean and smart. We ate out at various recommended restaurants but the best meal... more

My husband and I just returned from a whirlwind trip around Europe. We spent 4 nights in Budapest and it was one of our most favorite cities. Budapest is a very well layed out city and is relatively easy to navigate. We stayed at the Andrassy Hotel. At first we were nervous about being too far from the city center... more

My wife and I just returned from a long Easter weekend at the Andrassy Hotel. "Splurging," we plunked down the (roughly) 40 Euro for a private car transfer from the airport that we had arranged through the hotel. A short trip but hassle-free so we didn't mind the cost. We bid successfully on an Andrassy vacation package at www.luxurylink.com; for... more

I just spent 5 nights at the Andrassy and would not hesitate to recommend it . Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. We thought the bathroom was quite large by European standards and very well stocked with lotions, shampoos even a loofah. The staff could not have been more pleasant or more willing to help us out daily with... more
