We'd had a bit of a mental journey by the time we got to Corozal and when we got there (bit of a different vibe from Mexico where we'd just come from) we were a bit freaked out. but then we got to Maya and the owner was so kind to us - it was the day after new years... more

We had a room on the third floor, which was very basic. The air conditioning worked fine, which we were happy about. In the morning, I took a shower, and the water stopped in the middle of my shower. I think if we had been on a lower floor, we may have been ok. I don't know if this is... more
