Not much to say about this hotel, it's a typical Marriott, comfortable and pricey. However, one thing to note is that this hotel is miles out of the way of the interesting areas of Bangkok and is remotely located on the 'wrong' side of the river. The hotel shuttle boat is fine but takes almost 30 minutes to reach the... more

stayed here for 4 days and thought the hotel was o.k. but nothing special. Our room was a deluxe river view with balcony....the view was not so good as trees directly in front of our window (2 floor) so could not really see the river! the room was very clean with a good comfortable bed. we had a meal in... more

My wife and I, together with some friends, spent 4 nights at the hotel in late June. I was a bit apprehensive given recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is, of course, further down the river than most attractions, but Bangkok is so spread out you'll be spending a lot of time in taxis and boats already, and... more

I stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend and we were really disappointed by this hotel. The room was average for a 5* hotel - view of the ugly car park, relatively basic bathroom, boring room. Breakfast had a good selection but was very crowded, with children running everywhere. The pool was good, but again was crowded and not relaxing.... more

We stayed here at the beginning of June. It's a nice enough hotel though I think calling itself a 'resort' might be a slight stretch. Check in was straightforward but no mention of upgrade options...it was late so maybe they couldn't be bothered. The room was fine but a bit small I thought given the 'deluxe' description. We had a... more

I was personally disappointed by this hotel. Despite being very empty we were given rooms overlooking the car park, so not a very pleasant view to wake up to. the rooms had no wow factor whatsoever, were dark and had scuffed wooden floors. the bathrooms were just average for a 5 * hotel, with showers over the baths. the common... more

Was a nice hotel, but something weren't quite right. Even though I'd booked a B&B rate, the reception tried to charge me again on check-out for breakfast. The Jacuzzi was nearly over boiling point!! I now know what it feels like to be a teabag. I stepped in but had to jump straight out or be scalded. Bit pushy on... more

Hotel is amazing, all facilities are excellent. However, the staff other than the pool boys are rude and their attitude really puts you off staying here again (especially the pool bar staff). One particular incident we were heading towards the pool, they all muttered something in Thai and all laughed out loudly. This continued for sometime until my sister called... more

Our family (2 adults 2 children) stayed at the Marriott Bangkok for 1 night on the way in to Thailand and 2 nights on the way out. The facilities are grand, rooms very comfortable, restaurants bountiful (if not unique) and the pool is great. There are also casual dining alternatives (pizza & burgers in the adjacent mall reached 100 mtrs... more
