We have just returned from a 10 night stay in a Deluxe room at The Chedi. The hotel and grounds in scale and setting are truly amazing – very beautiful and luxurious. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Muscat - Old Muscat and Muttrah are a 15-25 minute taxi ride away. The hotel is only 10 minutes drive... more

We have just returned from an 8 day stay at the Chedi and have vowed to return, possibly next year. We booked a Chedi Deluxe room which was centrally placed for the reception, restaurant, bar and the adult only Chedi pool. The atmosphere around the hotel was relaxing and peaceful...very little in the way of entertaining children. In fact we... more

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel is immaculately kept, with pristine water walkways, landscaped gardens, stunning views, and beautiful rooms. The Restaurant serves delicious food - the chandeliers have to be seen to be believed. Wine & food is quite expensive though (we spent more on this than our accommodation!!). If you want a true escape... more

Don't bother reading reviews - just book your stay here - you will not regret it! But if you are going to read a review... Here goes: The whole place is beautifully serene and spotlessly clean. Everything is immaculate. Private beach, (but we're pool people and the infinity pool and other larger pool are beautiful... clean, perfect temperature and regular... more

Loved just about everything about this hotel. Pools were beautiful. Only really noticed being on the flight path on the Thursday - on other days we only heard one or two planes and it really didn't detract from the beautiful surroundings. Staff were all polite, courteous and helpful. When we left for the airport we must have been wished a... more

The grounds of The Chedi must be some of the most beautiful of any Hotel in the world, perfectly manicured hedges and lines of palm trees, incredible pools, and a lovely beach. The rooms are minimalistic in style but are of the highest standard. Service is second to none. I realise that when you stay in a resort of this... more

Stayed here for my fiance's 30th birthday in May, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! They organised a really special surprise on his birthday, and also upgraded us - nothing seemed like too much trouble. Everyone is courteous and friendly. The hotel itself has very clean lines, in very stark white - accurately described by others as having... more

Oman is a far cry from the tacky, glitzy and over-the-top feeling of Dubai. And it shows in the class of tourist you see there - less bling and more understated. The Chedi provides you with a low key, tranquil surroundings that allows you to totally relax. The rooms are tasteful and well appointed. Size of TVs, etc don't really... more

Much as been said about this hotel already. It's a modern style with an arabic touch. It's trying to be a mini-resort, not a hotel. I loved the attractiveness of the place, but it wore off after being there a few days on business. A few things to be aware of if you're a business traveler: There's only WiFi Internet... more

I want to start this review by saying that I suffer from the 'curse of Dubai'. I have lived in Dubai for 3 years and the hotels/service standards/restaurants are the best I have ever experienced and I find myself comparing everything to Dubai standards-it really does change your perspective on things because you expect so much! Anyway, we stayed at... more
