“Good Downtown Value”

The Ramses II has an excellent downtown location, and because it's on the 12th floor, it was very quiet. The staff is helpful, our room was clean, there was no problem with hot water, and the internet use was fast and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place as a centrally located budget hotel. more

We arrived at the hostel at 4am and were taken upstairs for a welcome drink. we were soo tired, but all the guy wanted to do was sell us tours and when we said we needed to think about it as we were so tired we were made to feel like idiots. Then.. the room.... The toilet was dirty- there... more

Staff is very friendly and yes they are a little pushy with selling tours, but it's real the best you could do. Tour guide Hebba is fantastic. New A/C bus. I would highly recommend this to anyone. more

Booked this place after looking at the reviews on TripAdvisor. Was I disappointed ;-( Upon checking in, one staff came to introduce himself telling us there will be welcome drinks for us, but actually his intent was on selling tours. As we wanted to go free and easy, we declined his offer politely. He was visibily unhappy we were not... more

Ramses II is probably the best hotel for the price we found in the whole of Egypt. Our room was really big and had a standard Egyptain bathroom and a balcony. The beds were big and comfy. Hatham organised pretty much our whole tour around Egypt and we had a fabulous time. Everything he planned, eventuated; right down to people... more

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and the service was next to non. The management and the staffs were brilliant, they made us feel at home. Best location, best budget hotel we've ever stayed in. I will strongly recommend this (7 STAR) THE BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD to anyone. Atef even booked the train tickets for us... more

friendly staff, which speaks several languages is always available to answer any questions and to give advice on things to do and see in Egypt. There aim is to make your stay at RansesII hotel as comfortable and Enjoyable as possible.....This was one of the best hostels I have been in Egypt.......................... more

Been in Ramses II, april 2006. Very clean, brand new rooms. All equipment working perfect - AC, bathroom. Absolutely friendly staff - at any time of day or night. Good location in Cairo - Talaat Harb is one of main shoping street in city. Egyptian museum is near (8-12 min walking aprox.) Absolutely reasonable stay - little money for much... more
