Just returned few days ago stayed at Mara Simba 1st-4thJune 08 VERY QUIET! Tourism still hit hard more staff than guests! We stayed here on our honeymoon. The hotel was really beautiful, built from wood up above a river full of hippos and crocodiles. The rooms were in cottages of about 4 rooms per building and they were clean and comfortable. The food was lovely and there was a wide choice and there was a lovely bar with a roaring fire.... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in our week long Safari with Africa Point. It was a really very peacefull place. The rooms have small balconies overlooking to a small river with hippos inside! :) The small huts were so nice in the middle of forest like lodge. we could find good chance to observe environment even in the lodge. more
