Big, clean rooms with great views (if you end up on the first floors just ask for another room and they'll give you one if they can). I recently stayed at the Rio Amazonas for 5 nights before and after a Galapagos adventure. The hotel is in a good location with lots of excellent restaurants nearby. We stayed here in Nov 2006. Hotel is nice, business class hotel. Clean efficient. Amazing breakfast in the restaurant next door and always cookies/coffee/tea in the lobby.
