I thought the hotel was a bit pricey, but it was very clean, well kept, good breakfast, staff was friendly and efficient, and it was close to everything--I couldn't have asked for a better location. I would not hesitate to stay there again and I do plan to return sometime next year. I will post photos later. Barbara more

All the other reviews are right. It is not luxurious but really you couldn't ask for a better place, better service or more reasonable price. Renato is everywhere all the time and makes it all come together. more

The location of the Solymar is absolutely the BEST. In 15 minutes you can walk to the Charles Darwin Research Station, and to downtown with lots of restuartants, shops, supermarket, and where the boats are docked.
