We were impressed by the pics we had seen of this hotel and the reality does not let you down ! Our host Raj was helpful and hospitable from the word go. He fetched us from the entrance of the fort, showed us our rooms and even had hot steaming cups of flavored tea sent up. His uncle who stays... more

Third time in Rajastan, first in Jaisalmer...we found Shreenath Palace on the web and we absolutely recommend it. From the very first e-mail contact the manager, Raj, has been extremely efficient and quick in answering. At the end we relied on him also for the car transfer in the whole state: the driver picked us up in Jodhpur, dropped us... more

Booked through Hostelbookers, as it looked really interesting and had the highest rating. Thought we had arranged a pick up from the station, but in the end made our own way there. It costs about rs.20 tourist tax each to get out of the station! then another rs.20 to go to the gate of the fort. They then make you... more

This is probably the most peculiar review as we never actually stayed at the Shreenath Palace. My initial experience booking the place was fine. Unfortunately, when my husband, daughter and I got to Jodhpur 2 days before leaving for Jaisalmer (a remote border town), our daughter had become so sick and dehydrated that there was a good chance she may... more

We had the Maharaja room for three nights and it was a delightful experience. The owner is very conversable and of great help. Our room was almost an other-wordly experience, like staying in another century. from our room we looked right at the nearby Jain temples. You must be prepared for a hot stay though, because there is no A/C... more

Our first impression on arrival in Sreenath Palace early morning at 0600hrs was not very encouraging. We had confirmed with the host pick up from Rly station and were thoroughly disappointed that we were left to find out the way to the hotel. We had to change from a jeep (which took us from station to fort entrance), then to... more

I stayed in Hotel Shreenath from Feb 22nd to Feb 24th, 2008. It was our first anniversary and we decided to celebrate it in Rajasthan since my better half has never seen desert. We started off our journey from Jaipur to Bikaner and then to Jaisalmer. The stay at this hotel was both homely and royal: homely as the hotel... more

I spent a wonderful night at Shreenath! I arrived there after a long and horrible overnight bus and was delighted when I was shown my princess room. It was the nicest room of all my trip in Rajahstan, with its nice pink-red curtains, its ancient columns, carpets and its view on the jaïns temples. The familly is really friendly and... more

The two nights we spent at Shreenath were unbelievable! We arrived after a long, harrowing overnight train and were delighted when we were shown our amazing room! We truly felt like royalty for two nights. The staff at Shreenath were really helpful and organised flights and put no pressure on us to take Camel Safaris, which can be a problem... more

We have stayed at Shreenath twice, in 2005 and in 2007. Each time our highest expectations were exceeded. The owners are as impressive as is their Haveli. This is the best of Jaisalmer, the best of Rajasthan and the best of old India. We hope to return many times. Our only concern is that it will become so popular that... more
