I stayed here for 4 nights in late April with my 3 kids. It was my favorite hotel of all my trips. I stayed 2 nights at the Nikko Bali but the Taman Harum was the best. I had a villa which was spotless and I loved the open air shower. The grounds are a feast for the eyes. The... more

As other reviewers have indicated, the exterior (gardens, pool and buildings) is delightful. Unfortunately, the attention to detail stops there. I was given a 2nd floor room on the side nearest the road. It looked nothing like the charming photos on the hotel's website. There was no mosquito netting and the bathroom was industrial looking. I had no private veranda,... more

I stayed in this hotel in Dec07 with my family just before the peak season starts (Xmas season) for Bali. It was a pleasant place for some peace and quiet. Ideal for family with small children but not for those who like action at the door step. We stayed in the family villa, so we had a nice view of... more

My fiance and I booked into this quiet hotel in early august this year. On first impressions, it seemed dark and a bit too quiet, the outdoor bathroom looked a little dated as well. However, as we stayed longer, the cottages grew on us and the ultra-friendly staff always made us feel welcome. Each staff greeted us by name (something... more

We've just come back from Taman Harum. It was a great experience and we wish we had more time to stay a little longer (only 4d/3n). The standard garden view room in which we stayed was quite dingy, furniture and fittings a bit worn and run down, with the garden furniture neglected and water feature non-functional. The other rooms i.e.... more

We went there with our 2 children this year, there were couples singles, families there. A very peaceful place, fantastic staff, like a village in itself. A very good place to stay in the Ubud area with a very friendly and fun staff. They are particularly solicitous of how you're doing. If you are into art, this is a wonderful... more

Taman Harum promises a unique local experience on its website with daily activities and a shuttle service into Ubud on request. It is 10-15 minutes out of town in the well-known village of Mas. However once there, there is nothing to do other than sit disconsolately in your dark room, or take the shuttle to Ubud if it is running... more

My family and I were looking forward to our short stay in Ubud but, unfortunately, our initial impression was tarnished due to the accommodation at Taman Harum Cottages. We booked the accommodation via their website and were impressed by the photos. In reality, though, the family cottage looked quite different and needs to be renovated. It seemed very run down,... more

When booking our trip to Bali, we decided that we wanted to go authentic. If we were travelling to a place like this we wanted to feel like we were there at all times, and did not want a generic "hotel room". We are so happy that we made this decision. Taman Harum is beautiful- the grounds, the rooms, the... more

My partner and I spent two nights at Taman Harum. What a unique place. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage for $48.00++ or $58.08 USD per night, including breakfast. The cottage had a living room with sunken conversation pit, kitchenette, bedroom, completely open air bathroom and a raised bale overlooking the rice fields and Mt. Agung (when there were no... more
