I stayed 3 nights in Akkotel last May. It was one of the best hotels I´ve ever stayed in Israel. The hotel is brand new, with free wired and wireless (very fast) internet, lift, good beds, very clean, and a superb location, embedded in the Old City walls. Is by far the best place to stay in Akko. There is a... more

If you find yourself visiting Northern Israel, STAY HERE! The brothers who own the hotel are warm and helpful. One of them did all the carving on all the woodwork and furniture. An amazing breakfast is included in the price, which is 500 shekels, or about $154 US. Stay here in Akko, rent a car, and you can make day... more

We have just returned from a week touring parts of Israel. We stayed at the Akkootel 3 nights. The hotel has heaps of character because it is located just inside the old city by the land gate and shares its back walls with the 16th century Ottoman city walls. We were told that it was originally part of the Turkish... more

We stayed at the Akkotel recently for one night. Upon checking in, I discovered that I had booked for the wrong date. Although the hotel had a room available, the charming owner told us, in all sincerity, that had the property been full, he would have put us up in his own home. He showed us to our room himself,... more

We stayed 2 nights at this new hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the location is great for visiting the old city. We got a very nice double room, spacious and cosy. Breakfast was very good and served directly on our table. more

We originally planned to drive to Haifa for a two day stay with a day trip, by train, to Akko. However, after reading all the very positive reviews of the AKKOTEL in Trip advisor and re-reading many travel books about Akko, we decided to drive to Akko and stay there for the two days and possibly going on a day... more

Both owners (2 brothers) gave us wonderful time-starting with a tastfull dinner ,rich breakfast and fullfilled almost all our .requests. This is a beautiful hotel in Akko and I recommend it without reservation. The staff is genuine and caring, the rooms are perfect- new and beautifully appointed, and the food very yummy. They went out of their way to make sure I had a good visit. I wish the owners (2 brothers who painstakenly restored the property) all the success... more

I have just returned from a long weekend vacation with 30 friends that have alot of experience in tourism. I myself am a travel agent for the last 35 years and all of us in this group can recommend this hotel. The location is ideal, the property is tremendous, the staff is more than excellent and for the price that... more

This small hotel in Acco is an outstanding place to stay for those interested in the history of Acco. It is a small, recently created hotel (September 2007) in a wonderful position at the gate to the old city. The hotel actually forms part of the wall of the city and the top floor exits directly onto the ramparts. The... more
