My husband and I were in Cape Town on business and opted to stay at this B&B as opposed to the waterfront/business area hotels. We were so glad we did! This B&B is fabulous and if you are fortunate enough to get a reservation, take it. It is tucked into a vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants and design shops around.... more

Our stay at An African Villa was nothing short of perfect. My wife and I found ourselves in Cape Town for several days on fairly short notice. We booked with An African Villa based upon its stellar reviews on Tripadvisor hoping that the staff would help us make the most of our time. Our expectations were very high, and we... more

We stayed two nights at An African Villa and were very pleased with all it offered. We had booked two rooms since we were traveling with teenagers who wanted some space of their own. Excellent accommodations, very quiet, extremely clean and very professional & friendly. Jimmy was wonderful in offering suggestions for our itinerary and making reservations for us. He... more

We spent 8 nights at the African Villa in August 2008 and absolutely loved it. The staff were incredibly helpful and arranged everything for us including transfers, tours and restaurants. Our room was spectacular-really amazing-as was the whole house. The breakfast was also great-nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect, just around the corner from Kloof Street which... more

An African Villa was the most unbelievable B&B type place we have ever stayed in. We chose it based off other people's ratings and THANK GOD we did!!! The villa is situated close to everything and taxi's always arrived within 5 min to take us where we wanted to go. The owners were the most hospitable and friendly people and... more

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Cindy and Keith couldn't do enough for me and made me feel at home from the moment I walked through the door. It made the perfect start to my first trip to Africa. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. more

We were impressed with everything about this hotel. The decor is beautiful, great location, and superb service. They offered a great recommendation for dinner at the Gold Museum, which I had not heard of in any guide book. It was a highlight of our visit. Thank you Louis, Jimmy and Wendy. You have a real gem of a hotel!! more

I just simply need to echo the other reviewers. It was last year that myself and friends stayed in the villa but it made such an impact I feel that I still have to leave a review. It is possibly the most comfortable place I have ever stayed in. South Africa is a breathtaking country and such a cool laidback... more
