The staff at Blackheath Lodge are the secret of why this B and B is my favorite of all times. We felt completely pampered, as though we were long lost friends or family. The evening of our arrival, after a nap in our lovely room, we came down to a glass of wine on the lovely patio overlooking the garden... more
My family and I visited Cape Town in mid-July. I had made the reservations directly with Antony and having no expectations at all. We were all very pleased and happy with what we encountered. Antony's lodge is beautiful, very welcoming, and carefully decorated with a great sense of style. We used a total of 5 different rooms and they were... more
What an outstanding hotel! Having read the previous reviews on the Blackheath we went there expecting something special and we were not to be disappointed. Much has already been said about Antony's personal service, but the amount of care and attention to detail was quite astonishing. Advice on restaurants (even going so far as to make the bookings and taxi... more
This place was great. Anthony the owner was fantastic. Made me feel so welcome. He was happy to organise everything, and as I was on my own for a few days was always happy to chat. He even insisted on ironing my shirt when I just asked to borrow an iron. (Did a very good job too) The rooms were... more
Keeping it fairly brief.......an amazing place to visit. The hosts with the mosts are just fantastic, the staff are always happy to help and those breakfast quiche thingy's are just to die for. Rooms are of top spec, pool is just enough and if your there as a group then get Sophia in to cook for you. Location is just... more

It is a private oasis in an upscale neighborhood; the Atlantic Ocean is only a few blocks away, along w/... more
We stayed at Blackheath Lodge just for one night but it was a truly wonderful experience. The lodge is delightful with beautifully decorated rooms and every last detail so well thought of. Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the pool was lovely as was a quiet drink on the sofas in the evening. But what made the stay even more special... more
My husband and I stayed here for a night in Feb 2008. Staying at Blackheath Lodge is like staying in the luxury home of your good friends. From the moment you arrive, you feel looked after and welcome, and no request (information, directions, advice, restaurant reservations) is too onerous for Ant, one of the guesthouse’s two owners. Blackheath Lodge consists... more
Our stay was excellent, the hotel was very nice and clean and our room had everything we could need. The breakfasts were amazing. what made our stay particularly special was all the effort made by anthony tand all the other staff to make us feel welcome and offer us suggestions and hint and directions - nothing was too much trouble! more
