The location is great and the reception staff are helpful. Breakfast was reasonable and the place feels secure. The main problem is the construction going on next door which starts at 7am, so no lie in and no privacy to use the pool. OK if you are an early riser but if, like us, you also want to catch up... more

Dear Sir and Madam, I have never written a review like this before, however I am still sufficiently annoyed, even after several months, to sit and write this. This was an expensive (approx US$110 per night) room in a second rate location (opposite a garage of some description) in Palermo. The room had a bathroom shared with the adjoining room... more

In a 16 day trip to South America, this hotel was probably the biggest disappointment and unfortunately, our first stop in Argentina. At 2.30 in the morning, the cab driver couldn't find the place which didn't bode well and when we finally did get there, we nearly couldn't get into the place despite emails to warn of our late arrival.... more

We - my husband, me and our recent college graduate daughter just returned from a wonderful two week vacation in Argentina. We stayed at the new 1551 Palermo Boutique Hotel for five nig hts -- using it to leave our luggage as we journeyed to Iguazu Falls, Los Dos Hermanos Estancia and Salta. The entire staff and most especially the... more

Hey Man! I can´t believe your story, how can you get confused! I´ve been in Palermo Suites for a couple of days. It is a wonderful hotel, warm staff, and great decoration. The garden and the swimming pool were just like I thought: Lovely!! The location was perfect, it is near the shops, pubs, restaurants and subway station, but at... more

I've been in 1551 Palermo for my honeymoon and it was perfect! We satyed in the Garden Deluxe Suite and had a romantic night with candles and champagne... The attention was great, girls in the front desk are very friendly and helpful with everything and all of them english speakers. We had a great experience in Buenos Aires and it's... more

We should have known when the cab driver couldn't find this place that it was going to be out of the way. And the entryway was so weird that we didn't think we were there when we actually were ringing the bell. From years of traveling through Latin America I knew that the entryway often hid a beautiful interior, so... more

1551 Palermo is a renovated turn of the century house in done in brick, colored glass and steel. The design details are sumptuous, and if you splurge and stay in the loft-like luxery master suite, there is also a private outdoor patio, wood burning stove, and beautiful wall sized windows draped with autumn hued vines on the outside. The house... more

My husband and I spent three nights at Palermo 1551 and loved it. Choosing this hotel was one of the high points of our trip. The hotel is an old historical home decorated in great taste, rustic chic, very cosy. The garden is delightful, hearty breakfast with delicious media-lunas and great coffee, wonderful and relaxed atmosphere and good location (about... more

Staying at 1551 Palermo was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had at a hotel, and I've traveled a lot. Not only is it one of the most attractive boutique hotels I saw in Buenos Aires, and being an artist I visited most of the top ones there, but it can stand its ground compared to any elsewhere as... more
