We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for two nights. The only reason to go to Wadi Musa, of course, is to visit the phenomenal site of Petra. For that, the location of the Crowne Plaza is ideal. The backdrop to the hotel (and the view from our room) is the eroded hills that form the context of Petra, and the... more

This was the upgraded hotel via Voyages Jules Verne Discover Jordan. It has an amazing position very close to the entrance to Petra and as the walk from the entrance to the actual site took 2 hours (with an enthusiastic guide!) this was very useful. The room was a little tatty but spotless and the tea/coffee facilities were a boon... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location of course is terrific. However not much else is. The lobby is OK, but nothing special. The room we were given was very small with peeling paint, chipped bathtub, and torn shower curtains. Worst of all, the bed spread underside had several body fluid stains. Ughh....my wife was not a... more

We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Jordan, whgere we hired a car and travelled from Amman to Petra, then onto Wadi Rum and then to the Dead Sea. The hotel we stayed in at Petra was in the perfect location, right by the gateway to the city. However it is looking old and tired. The staff were... more

Just returned from a stay at the CP Petra this month and have nothing but extremely good things to say about this hotel. First of all, the property, grounds and our room were spotless. This hotel has one of the best views of the park and is only a few minutes walk away from the entrance. Both the interior &... more

the hotel looks old and it IS old. Lights are not switched on in the day so some corners are alittle dark. Theres a laid back feeling i get from all the staffs there.. and they werent esp helpful or fast when checking in. The rooms do not have a view of petra - unlike wat they keep saying! Breakfast... more

The Good: The hotel is a five-minute walk from the entrance to Petra. The back of the hotel overlooks lovely desert mountain scenery. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of food and is good place to fuel up before a long day of hiking. The Bad: The quality of the rooms is closer to that of a motel than... more

This hotels offers you the closest possible access to Petra. This is especially appreciated when you exit Petra after a long hot day. The hotel seems a bit dated, but my room was renovated and up to Crowne Plaza standards. Didn't really have any complaints, except from one night when room service did not answer my calls for quite some... more

Absolutely the only thing going for this hotel is location. This hotel is old, unmaintained, and overpriced. (our hotel room door would not lock from the outside, the screen door would not slide, etc) There are two restaurants only one of which is open every day. The buffet food is average at best. At Petra watch out for vendor scams.... more

Very convenient for Petra visitors centre, only 300m away. Some of the other hotels are a shuttle bus ride away. Comfortable enough for a few days and staff seem efficient. Breakfast is buffet type with a very wide selection and is served from 6.30 to 11. The breakfasts were very good. Dinner isserved by buffet or from the card. The... more
