the hotel looks old and it IS old. Lights are not switched on in the day so some corners are alittle dark. Theres a laid back feeling i get from all the staffs there.. and they werent esp helpful or fast when checking in. The rooms do not have a view of petra - unlike wat they keep saying! The Good: The hotel is a five-minute walk from the entrance to Petra. The back of the hotel overlooks lovely desert mountain scenery. This hotels offers you the closest possible access to Petra. This is especially appreciated when you exit Petra after a long hot day. Absolutely the only thing going for this hotel is location. This hotel is old, unmaintained, and overpriced. (our hotel room door would not lock from the outside, the screen door would not slide, etc) There are two restaurants only one of which is open every day. The buffet food is average at best. Very convenient for Petra visitors centre, only 300m away. Some of the other hotels are a shuttle bus ride away. Comfortable enough for a few days and staff seem efficient.
