We arrived in Huntington Beach and checked into the hotel. It was hot and stuffy so we turned on the AC. Did not work. Not in a very good location either. No pool. Not near the beach. We checked out and stayed in New port Beach. more

Rooms need to be updated. Very noisy in the mornings 6 am when some of the guest wake up for free breakfast and walk and talk pass your room window. If you don't mind being waked up early in the morning by the other guest then its ok. more

This was something from a horror movie. I was attacked by fleas it was awful. I still have flea bites all over me. I will never stay at howard Johnson again. more

I stayed here for two nights during January 2006. The motel itself is three stories tall with a parking lot in the center. The room itself wasn't too bad. Bed was decent, comfortable. The room I had suffered from a severe mold problem in the bathroom from floor to ceiling. Even the door and frame was moldy. Lack of ventilation the problem. The stonefaced guy at the frontdesk is not friendly, but hey, your not there to make friends with him. more

Be forewarned about this hotel! All of the pictures you see on-line are a complete misrepresentation of this hotel. This hotel is dirty, rundown, small, and it is located on a crowded and busy street. The best view you'll find at this hotel, if it's not of another building, will be of the parking lot. We stayed here one night, so we could go to the beach the next day. The room was clean and the king sized bed was very comfortable and soft. There was a hair dryer, ironing board, and a wet bar...which was very useful. The front desk was also nice. more
