I booked a room at the hotel for my wedding night, but I didn't mention that to the hotel. When I arrived to check in I had my tux over my arm and they asked what the occasion was. When I told them it was my wedding day they instantly upgraded my room to a suite on the top floor... more

So there's no shortage of hotels on the sunset strip but finding one that gets beyond the location to actual service and comfort can be tough. Stayed one night at the Sunset Towers this week and it's definitely my new destination when i need to stay in this area. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location excellent. And noise is less... more

Easily my favorite place to stay on Sunset Blvd now, the recent renovations adds an entirely new sheen that makes you feel even more like a 30s Hollywood star than before. Panoramic views of the chaos down below along with the more pretentious hotels adds even more of a grin to your face. more

I usually don't feel compelled to write these even though I travel often for work, but this time I thought I would. I stayed at the Sunset Tower recently. L.A. hotels are usually pretty hit and miss. You pay top dollar for attitude and bad service generally speaking. I've stayed at many in the West Hollywood area and have been... more

I recently hosted my husband's surprise 40th birthday at the hotel and it was fantastic. The staff was unbelievably helpful. We had a fantastic room with an unsurpassed view of the city, the restaurant is amazing and I just can't say enough fantastic things about the staff. They really went above and beyond to make his birthday special. One of... more

Booked a 1 bed apartment for the stay and when we arrived we were upgraded to a townhouse suite. It was pure luxury, over two floors, seperate entrance from the rest of the rooms and amazing views of LA. I casually asked for a recommendation on where to go out and the receptionist promptly got us onto the guest list... more

I had a fantastic stay at The Sunset Towers Hotel in West Hollywood a few months ago, and was outraged to just read a very negative review of the place. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but can only think this person must have some personal axe to grind. I have been a regular visitor to Los Angeles... more

We stayed here over the past weekend. I thought the hotel looked half finished, dark and dirty. Our room was barely clean when we checked in. There was a used toothbrush on the floor and the headboard had some strange goop on it. Our room was never cleaned on Saturday until we called three times to complain. The lighting in... more

On behalf of the management and staff of the Sunset Tower Hotel, I must admit to being extremely surprised and disappointed to read your "Not impressed" review of September 16th. Please accept our sincere apologies. Your experience is directly at odds with the overwhelming majority of our guests as evidenced by the other reviews on this site. At the Sunset...

My wife and I stayed at the Sunset Tower over a long weekend in August. We booked with the hotel directly and took advantage of a 'four nights for the price of three' package in a one bedroom suite. The package included breakfast and complimentary health club / spa services. The staff were great, the room was large and nicely... more

We recently made two local weekend trips from San Diego to Los Angeles and were fortunate enough to stay at Sunset Tower. It's location on the Sunset Strip is prime. The hotel is elegant with old fashioned charm, yet has all of the modern conveniences. It has the feel of a 5-star hotel while maintaining it's local historic charm. The... more
