Very pleasant stay with courteous and helpful front-of-house staff. Great small hotel, with lingering charm from yesteryear, located among several other classic vintage hotels of the Deco era. Stayed with my teenage daughter and the hotel had a nice mix of young couples, older couples, families, and interesting overseas tourists. Room was comfortable with excellent bed. Hint: if you have... more

Stayed at the South Seas Hotel for 3 nights in june and had a great stay. The rooms are not luxurious but we found it extremely clean and loved the duvet covers on the bed. Bathroom was small but adequate and clean. Absolutey loved the hotel pool. Was a good size and lots of lounge chairs. We bought lunch by... more

My husand and I, along with two teenage boys (17 &15) stayed at South Seas for one night, May 30, 2008. Check in was a breeze and the front staff was friendly. Since we only had one night, we opted for a standard room (Room 220). The room and bathroom was small but adequate. What made this hotel special was... more

We came to South beach with our kids (4teenage daughters). We booked the South Seas for the location and the price. We needed two rooms for 6 nights. Although the rooms were small, we were really happy with our experience. The hotel was quiet and personal, not loud and obnoxious. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bartender/waittress was nice... more

This is the second time in two years my friend and I stayed at the South Seas Hotel in South Beach. We like the hotel because of its location: on the beach and within walking distance to Ocean Drive and shopping. It's also pretty reasonable price-wise considering the surrounding hotels (Loews, Ritz, National). Breakfast comes with the room and there's... more

After reading a few of the reviews on this site I nearly didn't book this hotel but we were pleased we did. The location was fantastic and we loved the pool and hammock area. We did have a small problem and this was dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast. The... more

I stayed at the South Seas for 2 nights on business. The location is great, and is within short walking distance to great hotels like the Delano, Shore Club, and also to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. When I first got there, the valet and front desk were very nice, and I proceeded to my room. The room had a... more

My wife and I went to spend 3 days in South Beach prior to visiting my retired father on the Gulf Coast. We got a $100 discount off the $350 hotel internet rate with my CAA membership. The oceanfront room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Not 5 star luxury but at leat 3 star bordering on 4 star. The predominately... more

My wife and I stayed at the South Seas based on a little research I did here and a recommendation from a travel agent whom I've never actually met. Let's just say our expectation for the price range of this Miami Beach "boutique hotel" was somewhat sullied upon our arrival. The hotel looked clean in the lobby, although worn and... more
