We spent six nights at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. We booked a standard room and were upgraded to a nice view once we arrived. The rooms were VERY quiet with the exception of the muffled noise that drifted up from the Whispering Canyon restaurant about 8:30 every morning. Not loud..just noticeable. I was going to book the Contemporary, but the only rooms available were the very expensive ones, so I switched to the Wilderness Lodge. It is a good hotel, convenient to the Magic Kingdom. We spent 2 weeks in this wonderful Hotel and it was great! We were concerned about bus transportation to parks as many reports mention this as a weakness of the Hotel (no monorail available). In our case, half of the times the bus was waiting and departured in 2 minutes and in other ocations we waited less than 8 minutes.... more
