We stayed at Motswari game reserve for 3 nights which is enough to experience the true African safari. The hotel is full of helpful staff and the guides are all excellent. The only negative is the hour and a half's drive from the nearest airport. The private bungalows are very comfortable but water pressure was weak. You were guided back... more

On February 20th, we left for a holiday in South-Africa. We planned a few days safari and after we wanted to take the train to Cape Town. Picking out a lodge wasn't that easy. We are not the most easy people to please, so some of the lodges were to expensive and others were to basic for our needs. Our... more

I stayed at Motswari mid September 2007 (dry season) with a group of 14 people mainly from Europe. The whole group had a truly excellent time. In the first three days we had great sightings of all of the Big 5. The rangers were very knowledgeable and friendly and the whole atmosphere at Motswari is very pleasant. The food was... more

I stayed at Mostwari for four days at the end of August. I've been traveling on and off for the last six months, and it was absolutely, the highlight of my trip. Accomodations are lovely -- clean, simple rooms with western amenities, such as king size beds. The bathrooms surpass bathrooms in most homes. Mine had a huge free-standing soak... more

Words can not describe our stay at Motswari, it was a dream come true. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome and the hospitality never ends. All the staff are fantastic. The setting is great, the bungalows are of a good standard and are quite spaced out. Each bungalow is named after a game animal.... more

We loved our trip to Motswari. The price was not too outrageous, and the accomodations were great. The food was delicious and the stafff really went out of their way to be friendly and make you feel at home. Godfrey, the ranger is fantastic - his knowledge is endless and his love of the bush infectious. We saw the Big... more

Motswari was the highlight of our trip to South Africa. While being in the bush, it is luxurious, the food is great and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Like most safaris we went for a three hour ride at daybreak and in the late afternoon, when the animals are awake and roaming. Because it is a private reserve adjacent... more

We had a wonderful time in Motswari. Timbavati is an open reserve to the Kruger Park, what gives you a sense of the big area where you are and a lot of emotion in the game drives. The field guides and trackers are excellent. We saw a lot and had a lot of fun. In every game drive you have... more

Timbavati is, once you have finally reached it, a great place. We saw all big 5 and had the most wonderful ranger/guide named Godfrey. He was amazing. Extremely experienced, funny and a terrific host.He is full energy and knows to pass on his love for the bush. The accommodation is good, the food indeed more than excellent, and considering the... more
