My husband & I have recently returned from a trip to Botswana, Victoria Falls & South Africa. Whilst in Botswana we stayed at Chobe Chilwero and we absolutely loved it. The accommodation, the food, the wine, the service and the safari were first class and we would thorougly recommend it. It was slightly different from other safaris we have been... more

My wife and I have recently returned from a three centre safari in Botswana. The final lodge (the previous two being CC Africa lodges) was Chobe Chilwero, where we spent three nights. We really can't recommend this lodge highly enough. It was our first stay at a Sanctuary Lodge, and having previously only experienced CC Africa in Tanzania and Botswana,... more

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was incredible. It was our first safari, but after doing two other safaris later in the trip, this one still rated at the top of our list. The staff was amazing, the rooms were incredible, and the food was great. There are 15 rooms, so it is a bit... more

We loved Chobe Chilwero. My family (13 of us) just finished a 12 day safari in Southern Africa. Chobe Chilwero was our first stop and it was nearly perfect. First, it is beautiful in an incredible setting. The facility is terrific, the food is very good and the staff is amazing. From the manager to the housekeepers, the staff is... more

We were hesitant arriving at Chobe Chilwero after reading a posting in April exclaiming it the "worst property in Chobe" How INCORRECT this was! Chilwero was absolutely clean, luxurious - fabulous rooms - newly painted and updated. Ours was Room 6 and a delight. We have traveled extensively and the place lived up to its star rating. We had a... more

This is the worst lodge in Southern Africa. There is a total lack of management, which leads to filth, bedbugs, and total bewilderment at our complaints. When complaining to santuary lodges and camps, we were answered by managment that was not on sight who didnot even adress any of the issues and talked in circles. For they know that this... more

Located on the outskirts of Chobe National park, Chilwero offers luxurious lodges with a price tag to match. You cannot fault the layout and design of the lodges and the views of the national park are a delight in the morning. The only slight negatives would be that the food was pretty average and the choice was very limited. The... more

The vista that greets you as you enter is the 1st of many pleasant surprises. The bungalows were fantastic. Loved the sunken tub and outdoor shower. The games drives/boat rides were a thrill. Saw more than I had thought possible. Elephants everywhere including the road to the camp. The food was very good, the do it yourself pizza a real... more

I spent 4 days here in early October 2006. The lodge consists of 15 very private cabins and is adjacent to Chobe National Park. Due to its close proximity to the park there is often wildlife that you see on the grounds. In the evening the lodge warns you to not walk the grounds by yourself. In fact, when you... more

We were slightly disappointed with Chobe Chilwero. Coming from a small camp in the Okavango Delta we expected more of the same, however Chobe Chilwero is a much larger lodge/hotel that's on the outskirts of a town. The lodge itself is gorgeous - the rooms were extremely luxurious with a sunken bath and an outdoor and indoor shower, and the... more
