The food was excellent with a different full breakfast by Charlene every morning. Jim was good about recommending places to eat and shop in town. He steered us to good places and helped us avoid the ones that weren't. He seemed very knowledgeable of the community. The location couldn't have been better; we were a few minutes' walk from the... more

The best thing about staying here was the location. We could walk to everything in town, which was great because parking gets limited during the day. There were also a couple local bars about a couple blocks away which was nice, so we didn't have to drive. However be warned, the service wasn't so good. Everytime I called the B&B... more

The 1805 Phinney House is committed to excellent customer service and we go to great lengths to provide this to all of our guests. When we take reservations we ask guests when they will plan on arriving. We make every effort to meet all guests upon arranged check in times. When this guest booked they were given our check in...

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The owners were extremely nice and accommodating. They told us all about the area, where to go and gave us great coupons. We slept late and they even offered to give us a private breakfast! There is a nice porch where guests can sit... more

Phinney House has a great location with the Hall of Fame, and the main street of Cooperstown very close. It was easy to leave our car in the yard and walk to the village. Our room, which was nicely furninshed in period furnishings, was on the front of the house, and although we could hear passing cars, since we slept with... more

This B&B is well-located for a visit to Cooperstown and you can walk to almost everything - The Baseball Hall of Fame, the Otesaga Hotel, the lake, restaurants, even the Farmer's Museum and the Fenimore Museum if you don't mind a good mile walk. The bedrooms seem to vary in quality - I have heard that some are redone, but... more

I stayed at the Phinney House for two nights with my 9-year old grandson. We had a wonderful time at the B&B and in Cooperstown. The B&B is a close walk to everything in town which made it convenient to go and come at our leisure. The breakfasts were special and my grandson really enjoyed the Dutch Apple Pancakes our... more

We recently spent our first night at a quaint B&B in Cooperstown. We were focused on heading the the Baseball Hall of Fame and popping in and out of the local shops, but we were amazed at how quickly Jim and Charlene at The Phinney House both made us feel at home as soon as we entered the house. They... more
